'Unfounded' - Premium Semi-Glossy Paper Poster

Unfounded was painted in memory of my best friend, a transgender boy who took his life when we were 16. 

We met on the first day of school and were instant friends. Early on I  began to wash his male school uniform so his parents wouldn’t find it. He taught me things about myself I didn't know yet. He showed me that it was okay to be who you are most comfortable being.

I want to clarify that this is not a portrait of him, but of me. That moment I lost him, that gut punch, then the weightlessness.. Unfounded is my attempt to show you how it felt.
